Hodess Construction Company

Hodess Construction Corp is currently working on our second job for Insight Technology of Londonderry, NH. Insight creates products such as illumination devices, night vision devices and laser rangefinder devices that are used by the U.S. Military and Federal Law Enforcement.

For the first job, Hodess was the design/builder for the first Class 100 R&D labs.  HCC’s role included architectural layout of the room, modular cleanroom walls, installation of a new cleanroom ceiling and HVAC systems to maintain a critical 68+/- 3ºtemperture and 45+/- 10%RH.  Cleanrooms included particle counting systems as well as laser curtains and dividers to allow two R&D operations to proceed in the same room at the same time.  Based on the success of the research development of the prototype in these cleanrooms, Insight Technologies has commissioned Hodess Construction to start building Class 100 production space for the production of the lasers.

Using value engineering, Hodess will be able to create the new Class 100 room in eight weeks. Hodess purchased unused plenum modules from another company North Carolina to be fitted with Gebhardt fans. The plenum modules include a flush light grid which allows for 100% HEPA coverage. HCC will be using laser curtains to break up the 704 sq ft of cleanroom under filter into mini laser testing rooms.
